Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Who
is it for?
You are Welcome!
RCIA is a process of making a conversion to Jesus Christ
and joining the
Catholic faith. The letters RCIA are an
abbreviation for Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults.
We welcome:
1. People who are
not Christian.
2. Christians who have been
baptized
in a non-Catholic faith.
3. Baptized Catholics who have not received
First Communion and/or
Confirmation.
4. Catholics who would like a refresher
on the Catholic Church’s
teachings
from an adult point of
view.
For
additional information you may contact
any of
the following RCIA Team members:
Dick
Asafaylo, 859-2504
Christina Baukus, 848-4820
You are
welcome to attend an RCIA Meeting.
Meetings
are regularily scheduled for
Monday evenings at 7:00p.m. in our Parish Hall.
Are
you obliged to become
Catholic
if you attend RCIA classes?
No!
You do
not have to become a Catholic unless you want to.
You can
stop attending classes if you
decide that the RCIA
process is not for you.
When
would I complete Christian Initiation?
For
those who want to complete initiation into the Catholic faith,
you will celebrate
Baptism, First Communion and/or Confirmation, as
appropriate, at the
Easter Vigil Mass, Saturday evening, March 22, 2008.
