Our Lady of the Lakes Ladies Guild

  Who are we?

The ladies of The Guild meet monthly to share their talents, their desire to serve our

Parish Community, and enhance their spiritual life.  We are proud to say that the membership

includes women who have been members since the formation of The Lady’s Guild in 1971.

We are pleased, also, to have as member’s ladies with young children and teens that bring to our

organization new ideas and suggestions for our participation in serving our Parish Community.

A few of the Parish Community activities, projects, and

programs sponsored by The Guild are as follows:

v Make baptismal robes for infants of our Parish

v Our Parish cookbook:  “A Taste of Heaven”

v Toiletries collection for Project Northeast

and St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen

v “Squares for Quilts” for the homeless

v “Fill the Playpen for Needy Babies”

In Honor of Our Lady

  Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue

Lovely Lady dressed in blue - Teach me how to pray!

God was just your little boy, Tell me what to say!

Did you lift Him up, sometimes, Gently, on your knee?

Did you sing to Him the way Mother does to me?

Did you hold His hand at night?

Did you ever try telling stories of the world?

Oh! And did He cry?

Do you really think He cares if I tell Him things?

Little things that happen?

And do the Angels' wings make a noise?

And can He hear me if I speak low?

Does He understand me now? Tell me - for you know.

Lovely Lady dressed in blue - Teach me how to pray!

God was just your little boy, and you know the way!
