made at least one year before the wedding date.  Please

MARRIAGE LICENSE

The Marriage license may be obtained through most municipal offices.

Apply for the license one month before the wedding date.

PRE-CANA SESSIONS

All couples must attend Pre-Cana sessions.

This information is outlined in a separate brochure

that will be given to you when you meet with Father Nagle.

OTHER PARISHES

Couples from other parishes must obtain written permission from their Pastor

before making reservations to be married in Our Lady of the Lakes Church.

They are also to arrange for Pre-Cana classes with their respective parishes.

Couples from other parishes may attend Pre-Cana classes

at Our Lady of the Lakes Church with permission from their pastor.

PRE-MATRIMONIAL INVESTIGATION

If you are Roman Catholic, you will need to obtain a copy of your Baptismal certificate

from the Church in which you were baptized dated within the past six months.

Also, you will need copies of your First Holy Communion and Confirmation certificates

(you may request copies from the parish in which those Sacraments were received).

If you are a non-Catholic, please obtain a copy of your Baptismal certificate, if possible.

DONATIONS

It is customary that couples being married make an offering to the Church.

The fee for parishioners who make regular contributions through the envelope system

is less than for non-parishioners.  Please speak with Father for the fee schedule.

A $50.00 deposit is required to reserve a wedding date, applicable to the Church fee.

The deposit is refundable if the wedding is cancelled at least 90 days before the wedding day.

REHEARSAL

The wedding rehearsal date and time are set when the

Pre-Matrimonial Investigation is completed.

All rehearsals must begin and end on time.

You must bring the following:

1.  Marriage License   2.  Gift for Altar Servers  

3.  Offering for the Church   4.  Organist/musician/vocalist fees

CONFESSIONS

Confessions will be available for you and your wedding party

and family members immediately following the wedding rehearsal.

ALTAR SERVERS

Altar Servers may be requested to assist at Wedding Masses.

We ask that a courtesy gift of $15.00 in cash be given to each Altar Server.

MUSIC

Our Parish Choir Director, Mrs. Patricia Johnson, is available to be

of assistance for wedding music at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish.

All couples are asked to contact Patricia at their earliest convenience.

She will gladly assist you in planning the music for your wedding in

accordance with Diocesan guidelines and assist you in contacting vocalists

PHOTOGRAPHERS

All photographers and videographers are asked to speak with Father Nagle

to verify the areas of the Church that may be accessed for taking pictures.

Following the receiving line couples and their bridal party may return to take

pictures inside the church – picture taking should not exceed one-half hour.

RICE, CONFETTI, FLOWER PETALS

As a matter of courtesy and safety, no confetti, rice, birdseed, flower petals, etc.

may be thrown in the foyer of the Church, the outside entrance of the Church

and the sidewalk and parking lot of the Church following the wedding ceremony.

This is a policy is to insure the safety of all walking on the sidewalk and parking area.

AISLE RUNNER AND FLOWERS

The length of the Church’s center aisle is 46 feet.

The total seating capacity is 402 people.

The main section of the Church facing the Altar has nine

pews on each side with each pew seating nine people.

You are welcome to leave your wedding floral

arrangements in the Church for Sunday Liturgies.
